The tour begins towards Ponte Vecchio, or the Ponte degli Alpini, historical symbol of the city, of vital economic and military importance, it was often destroyed by war events and the floods of the Brenta and always rebuilt, in stone or wood.
We will continue slightly uphill and you will admire ancient buildings, the remains of the ancient city walls, the Ezzelini Castle, Palazzo Pretorio, Piazza Garibaldi dominated by the Civic Tower which dominates the entire historic centre, Palazzo Sturm with its splendid collections dedicated to local ceramic production , known for the fineness of the mixture, the richness of the decoration and the brilliance of the glaze.
An obligatory stop will be a visit to a historic distillery where you will learn about the history of the most famous Italian spirit: grappa. You will discover its origins, how it was once produced and how this distillate of pomace (the grape skins) is produced today and you will treat yourself to a guided tasting of grappa.
