On this two-hour hike, you'll have the opportunity to hike along the side of Mount Stromboli to the Sciara del Fuoco – a black gash stemming from the edge of Stromboli's active crater that marks the spot where lava flows when the volcano erupts.
During the trek, you'll have a chance to take in views of Stromboli Island and the volcano's unique landscape as the sun sets. Once night falls, the flowing lava will be even brighter to witness. Upon reaching Sciara del Fuoco, you'll pause to eat your pre-packed dinner before following an old mule track back to the starting point.
