On this tour, you’ll have the chance to see Parco delle Chiese Rupestri – an outdoor settlement that features rock churches carved out of the edges of cliffs and caves. This impressive area has structures that cover a vast period of history – from the prehistoric times to the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.
You’ll start with a visit inside the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Palomba where you’ll be able to see the cellar, kitchen and refectory.
You’ll also visit Madonna dei Derelitti church where your guide will explain the symbolism in the ancient frescoes. The tour will conclude with the opportunity to see a beautiful sunset over the city.
