This tour will take you on a walk along the landmarks in Assisi First, you’ll meet your guide at the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheatre. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the views of Rocca Maggiore, a medieval castle.
Your guide will then lead you through the famous Italian hill town, sharing stories about its history, art and culture along the way. You’ll visit several monuments, including the Cathedral of San Rufino, the Basilica of Saint Claire, Piazza del Comune and the Temple of Minerva.
You’ll also be able to explore the Basilica of San Francesco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to timeless frescoes by Giotto. Finally, you’ll have the chance to sample some local foods.
