The first stop on this tour will be at the Thingvellir National Park. In this rugged landscape, you'll come close to the line where the Eurasian and the North American Plates collide. Next, you'll head to the geothermal area of Haukadalur to visit the Great Geysir. If you're lucky, you might get to see this powerful geyser in action. If not, then keep an eye on Strokkur instead – this active hot spring hurls up water to heights of 98 feet around ten times per hour.

Before boarding your minibus again, you'll have some time to purchase food for lunch. Next on the agenda will be the Gullfoss waterfall, where you can watch the roaring Hvítá river fall 105 feet into a gorge, cascading down in two steps.

Continuing the tour, you'll visit Kerid, an aquamarine lake flanked by the steep red walls of a volcanic crater. To let the day's impressions of the wild Icelandic nature settle, you'll soak in the naturally warm waters of the Blue Lagoon before heading back to Reykjavík.
