This full-day tour to Masada and the Dead Sea begins with a journey from Jerusalem through the Judaean Hills. As you travel south, you'll pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Afterwards, you'll descend below sea level to the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea.
The tour continues to Masada, a flat-topped rock and ancient stone fortress that stands 450 metres above the desert sands. Once you arrive at the summit via cable car, you'll be rewarded with views of the Dead Sea. Here, your guide will lead you to the remnants of the palace-fortress of King Herod. The area includes storerooms, palaces and guardhouses as well as water cisterns and a bathhouse bedecked in murals and mosaics.
If there is time remaining, the tour will stop at the Dead Sea Mineral Cosmetic Factory for refreshments. The final stop is at the Dead Sea's beach, where you can relax and enjoy the health benefits of black mud and turquoise salt water.
