This self-guided tour will take you to explore King Herod’s ancient fortress of Masada, a cliff-top fortress overlooking the Dead Sea.

Using your app with audio narration, you will learn about the legendary siege, the battle strategies, and the residence’s ultimate sacrifice. You will begin your walk through the fortress with the iconic Snake Path Gate, going to the quarry and the Commandant’s Residence. The tour will continue to the Northern Palace, where you will get the chance to admire the Terrace.

Other main places of interest you will see include the Large Bathhouse, Columbarium Towers, historic Breaching Point, and Tanner’s Tower. Finally, you will discover the other rooms in the complex, the Ritual Bath, and the Southern Gate.
