On this experience, you’ll head to the Dead Sea where you’ll spend the day relaxing at the lowest point on Earth. After departing from the Inn of the Good Samaritan, you’ll stop at the sign stating that you’re below sea level. In the distance, you’ll see views of Jericho. At the Dead Sea, you’ll have the chance to feel the water and black mud’s therapeutic powers at 400 metres below sea level. Here you’ll coat the mineral-rich mud onto your skin and float in the sea.
As you take in views of the blue waters and Moab Mountains, you’ll learn about how the body of water was named the Dead Sea and how minerals like magnesium are used for medicine. On your journey back to the city, you’ll pass the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
