On this experience, youâll head to the Dead Sea where youâll spend the day relaxing at the lowest point on Earth. After departing from the Inn of the Good Samaritan, youâll stop at the sign stating that youâre below sea level. In the distance, youâll see views of Jericho. At the Dead Sea, youâll have the chance to feel the water and black mudâs therapeutic powers at 400 metres below sea level. Here youâll coat the mineral-rich mud onto your skin and float in the sea.
As you take in views of the blue waters and Moab Mountains, youâll learn about how the body of water was named the Dead Sea and how minerals like magnesium are used for medicine. On your journey back to the city, youâll pass the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
