On this three-hour cruise to Mount Athos, your journey will start from the port of Ouranoupolis. From here, you will set sail on the ‘Calypso’, which can host up to 140 passengers. After 20 minutes into the sail, you will see the Serbian Monastery of Chilandariou. Next, you will see two more inland monasteries, the Konstamonitoy and the Bulgarian Monastery of Zografou. You will also get clear views of Dochianoy and Xenofontos.
Your next sighting will be the impressive Agiou Panteleimonos, characterised by the green onion domes of churches over red-roofed buildings. Further, you will witness Dafni, the main port of Mount Athos.
In some time, you will pass Agios Modestos and will be able to see the Monastery of Simonos Petras with its breathtaking views. Before heading back to Ouranoupolis, you will also see Osiou Grigorious, Agiou Pavlour, Nea Skiti and Skiti Agias Annas.
