This small-group tour will take you from Athens to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Meteora to discover its ancient history. You'll embark on a bus drive of just under four hours, taking in the beautiful countryside along the way.
On arrival, you'll visit two of the monasteries built atop the rock pillars and gain insight into Greek Christian monks. You'll also see the other four monasteries from the outside and learn about the history of Eastern Orthodox monastic life.
Before making the return trip, you'll stop in the town of Kalabaka, where you'll have lunch, as well as free time to shop and explore.
