The Greek island of Kefalonia boasts many idyllic spots but Melissani Cave has to be the most startlingly beautiful. Sail along at the famous cave and learn about its rich history. The water is so clear that in a certain light, an optical illusion affects your eyes, making the boats hired by visitors look like they’re floating in mid-air.

The next stop is Drogarati Cave with its remarkable formations of stalactites and stalagmites. This magnificent cave opened to the public in 1963 and was discovered about 300 years ago. It is also famous for its excellent acoustics.

The last stop is Antisamos Beach, one of the prettiest and most popular beaches on the island. Antisamos was the natural set for the Hollywood production “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” filmed in Kefalonia in the summer of 2000.

Swim in the crystal clear water and relax under the sun. Don't forget to stop for a photo on a cliff overlooking the stunning view of the Ionian Sea.
