This hiking trail used to be an ancient path, as the name itself says (old walk in Greek), for trading purposes. Most of its length coincides with the ancient road which connected Minoa with Aegiali. We also pay a visit to the iconic Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa - the second oldest monastery in Greece. This path helps you discover the wild beauty of Amorgian nature while you get informed about the island's cultural and historical heritage at the same time. It's the most popular long-distance route in Amorgos to hike and passes through the crest of a mountain at an altitude of around 400 meters.
