On this private tour of Wiesbaden, the capital city of the State of Hesse, you’ll learn more about a city that is famous for its hot springs that date back to Roman times. You’ll hear about Wiesbaden as a ‘spa’ and how it was of great importance to European nobles in the 19th century.

You’ll visit the turn-of-the-century Kurhaus (Spa house), an impressive, neo-classical building, and also learn about Wiesbaden Casino where Fyodor Dostoyevsky was said to have received his inspiration for his novel, ‘The Gambler’. You’ll later stroll the Kurhaus Colonnade, reputed to be the longest hast hall in Europe supported by pillars.
