With this ticket, youâll explore the UNESCO-listed Palais des Papes, which was the residence of the Catholic popes during the 14th century. Youâll learn about the palaceâs history using the HistoPad app.
As you wander around both the palaceâs buildings â the old palace of Benedict XII and the new palace of Clement VI â youâll gain insights into the lives of the popes of Avignon during the Middle Ages. Youâll also be able to admire the complexâs artwork and Gothic architecture.
