Palace of the Popes and Pont d'Avignon

Self-guided tour to explore the historical palace and the remains of an important bridge

Free cancellation available

This experience will grant you admission to Avignon's famous Palace of the Popes, as well as the ruins of Pont d'Avignon, one of France's most significant bridges. At the gothic palace, you can explore the medieval seat of Western Christianity, where six papal conclaves were held during the 14th century.

At the bridge, you can view the remaining four arches of the original 12 that linked the two banks of the Rhône, a true feat of engineering for the Middle Ages. Your ticket will include an audio guide to download to your phone to offer interesting information about the two sites.
