This walking tour will allow you to discover some of Alvar Aalto’s most iconic designs.
Alongside a local guide, you’ll be able to visit the Southwestern Finland Agricultural Cooperative Building, which once housed a theatre, hotel, bank and office space. You’ll then stop by the Standard Apartment House, a building that Aalto designed with architect and friend Juho Tapani. Finally, you’ll make your way to the Turun Sanomat newspaper building, where you’ll learn about Aalto’s prolific working relationship with Erik Bryggman.
