On this tour, you'll travel from Santander to Puente Viesgo to visit the two caves of El Castillo and Las Monedas. At El Castillo, you'll get to see some of the world's oldest paintings dating back to the prehistoric times. You'll also visit the Las Monedas cave, known for its ancient charcoal drawings and geological formations, such as stalactites, stalagmites, lava flows and more.
Your tour will take you to an art interpretation center, where you'll gain insights into the origin and development of rock art. The tour will round off with a short walk around Puente Viesgo, passing by the river, historic town hall and church.

Please bring sunglasses, sun cream, a cap and bottle of water. Please also wear non-slip footwear, as the caves can be slick.
The average temperature of the cave is 14 degrees Celsius. A jacket is recommended.
Please note that the guided tour inside the cave is conducted in Spanish. Depending on the availability, your guide will offer English translations.
A minimum of four participants is required for the tour to go ahead.
