International Field Marathon racing is held at Huangyaguan Great Wall since 1999. It was originally built over 1400 years ago in the Northern Qi Dynasty (557 A.D.) and reinforced with brick walls in the Ming Dynastyand the Wall (557 A D). In 1984, major repair work has been performed on over 3 kilometres of the wall including on 20 water towers and 1 water pass. It was listed as a site of relics protection in 1986. It was listed as a key relics protection target of Tianjin city in 1986, and it's one of the tourist major attractions in Tianjin. On the way back to the city, you will Qing emperor's tombs.
