In Mati temple the Buddhist caves depict a lovely way the spread of this religion via the Silk Road to China.
Zhangye Dafo was built in 1098 during China’s Xixia Dynasty, a huge reclining Buddha was stored in the Main Hall for 900 years. Dafo with 34.5 meters body in length, shoulder 7.5 meters, ears 4 meters in length, which is the largest indoor Buddha statue in China
