With a ticket to the Banff Gondola, you'll soar high above Canada's first national park, with breathtaking views along the way. At the summit, you can learn more about the Sulphur Mountains through interactive displays and a sensory flight experience. You'll also find numerous dining options. Your ticket will include a return trip, but you can also opt to hike down the 5.5-km trail instead.

What you need to know
Please note that the operating hours of the gondola are as follows:
- Monday–Sunday: 09:00–21:00
- Last ride up: 19:30
- Last ride down: 21:00
Infants and children must be included in the passenger headcount.
Children aged 0–5 years can join for free, provided they do not occupy separate seats.
Children aged 0–5 years must be accompanied by a paying adult.
The adult rate applies to children aged 16 years and older.
Pets are not permitted, only service animals with valid identification.
This activity is not stroller-friendly.
This activity is wheelchair accessible, except for the summit boardwalk.
All tickets include a return trip, but you can hike down if you want.
If you wish to hike down, please note that this will take approx. 1.5–2 hours on a 5.5 km trail from the Upper to Lower Terminal after taking the Gondola up.
