Germanic Route Cultural Tour

On this tour, you’ll go on a route to explore the cultural and historical cities of Ilhota, Blumenau and Pomerode. You’ll begin with Ilhota, which is popular as the city of beaches and fitness. Then you’ll head to Blumenau, known to be one of the most important cities in the European Valley of Santa Catarina and the beer capital of Brazil. Here, you’ll come across customs of German colonization which can be seen in the food, architecture and events like Oktoberfest.

Finally, you’ll reach Pomerode where around 90% of the locals speak in German. You’ll see well-preserved, half-timbered architecture and houses from the World War II era. Then you’ll also get to try the German pies, craft beers, liqueurs, sausages and much more. You’ll have time to go shopping for handicrafts, chocolates, drinks and other local products before the tour ends.
