This 90-minute guided tour will introduce you to the history of pearl lugging in Broome. You’ll learn how the city’s unique maritime heritage unfolded on the foreshore of Dampier Creek. Your guide will share engrossing stories about the era of people who lived a life of adventure, danger and fortune in their hunt for valuable pearls.
You’ll see some of the last remaining pearl luggers and have a chance to hold precious pearls and diving artifacts. During your experience, you’ll also be treated to the rare delicacy of pearl meat from the Pinctada Maxima oyster.
