This 90-minute guided tour will introduce you to the history of pearl lugging in Broome. Youâll learn how the cityâs unique maritime heritage unfolded on the foreshore of Dampier Creek. Your guide will share engrossing stories about the era of people who lived a life of adventure, danger and fortune in their hunt for valuable pearls.
Youâll see some of the last remaining pearl luggers and have a chance to hold precious pearls and diving artefacts. During your experience, youâll also be treated to the rare delicacy of pearl meat from the Pinctada Maxima oyster.
