Really a paradise. Very nice house and exceptional garden around it. There was barbecue and one day we used it to prepare dinner. There is a fruits garden and we were also allowed to take fresh eggs. The owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful no matter that time it was. Would definitely stay there again. Keep in mind to have a rental car to reach place.
The host, Claudia, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The apartment complex and the gardens are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the tasty fruits we picked ourselves from the garden. The complex is located in a quiet village in the middle of the island, but close to all the main hikes/attractions/lakes. Only 15-20 minutes from Ponta Delgada. Very recommended.
Everything about this apartment was great. Manuel the owner was very nice and friendly. He also texted us at 11:30 am to let us know the apartment was ready for check in even though it was well before check in time. The apartment is big and nicely furnished. The bathroom was spacious and it's suitable for people with mobility issues. The location is perfect as it sits in the middle of the island in a quiet neighborhood. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this accommodation.
Quinta das Giesta is a wonderful, quiet property with a beautiful garden and pool. The location is great, just minutes to Ribeira Grande, restaurants and the beach. The rooms were much larger than we expected. They are, in fact, small apartments equipped with all needed for your stay. Our host, Manuel, was amazing. He made us feel at home, showed us around and was very involved and responsive whenever we needed him. We liked the cats, the greenery, the space, the decor...everything! Highly recommended for anyone visiting the island!
The property is very well maintained, apartments are roomy and welcoming, each having a modern kitchen. You can see the ocean from the pool/barbeque common area.
The apartment is perfectly located to explore the whole island! Nearby is a big supermarket and a gas station and it is just 15 min away from the airport. In addition it was very comfortable, clean and we felt very safe during our stay 🙂👍
