Saint Emilion is a beautiful village. Being able to stay inside the village and walk easily to all the sights and shops was wonderful -- note that it is not recommended to drive in the town. We parked outside the village and walked to the Maison de la Tour with no problem. A bonus with this property is the ability to enjoy a free tasting at the owner's wine shop along with a vineyard tour at his family's vineyard. A perfect introduction to the Saint Emilion appellation.
