Hotels near Ocean City Municipal Airport - OCE, Ocean City

I love Ocean City. I have been going there for over 65 years and am trying to move there. It is one of the best maintained beaches I know. There is something for everyone to dp. Everyone I have taken there loves it too.

I never visit Ocean City in summer -- good luck spending less than 8 hours getting home across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I enjoy off season but bring your own food. Very few restaurants operating, especially on boardwalk. The city, itself, can be a lot of fun if you are young, but OC has a very kitschy look and feel. Ocean, of course, incredible, God is quite the artist!

Unfortunately, I was unaware it was car show weekend. It was loud and obnoxious! OC MD needs to be revitalized! It's the same as it was 30+yrs ago with the exception of more hotels and restaurants. Needs entertainment such as 2-3 theatres of some sort to have live performances like the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pa. I know there are concerts held there but this is something other than concerts and it would be nice to have a few venues to offer a variety of concerts as well.

I went to Ocean City for the Cruisin Car Show. it was nice with a ton of other car enthusiasts. However, overall Ocean City has changed and isn't as nice, friendly, or safe anymore. Especially in the summer, in and around the Boardwalk. It really has gone down hill. I tried eating at Fishtails after being recommended by a Days Inn flyer for Pet-Friendly restaurants.... which turned out to be nothing but a bad joke. If you don't have a Service Animal, then you have to stay on the Pier. They might as well tell you to go eat out in the parking lot at that point. I left after the first night, because the place where I was staying was the Days Inn on 22nd Street and the Boardwalk, and the room had a horrible odor to it. . Also, Ocean City is extremely overpriced for just an average beach. Anybody who has gone to Florida, North or South Carolina, already know this.

We went down for Bike Week and it was good. The police seemed to be plentiful. The rescue people were right on time. The streets were clean for the most part. We were sad to see that lots of our favorite restaurants were no longer there but we tried some of the new ones. Prices were same as they are near home. The event seemed well organized by the vendors. We always eat at Dumsers which hasn't change. We actually brought our own food to cook most nights to save some money.

If you’re looking for a beach vacation but also want convenience/ access to a variety of entertainment/food options this is a great choice. No excuse to be bored or hungry here. Can be expensive but there are grocery stores etc to offset cost. Good for family trip or weekend with friends.
