Holiday Inn Express & Suites College Park - University Area is conveniently located less than one mile from the University of Maryland. The hotel is only 10 miles from Washington, D.C. From check in to check out staff were great. Stayed in suite and bed linen and bed were of highest quality. Breakfast good, for a motel. Don't expect a la carte, but some hot options along with the usual continental. Fresh fruit too, and coffee good. The whole premises was immaculate. Can't fault, one of the best motel stays ever, better than most 4 star hotels.

Our experience of Greenbelt was limited to the Sonesta Select hotel and the Greenbelt Metro (subway). We did shop at Costco in College Park, MD and had occasion to repair a tire at Sam's Club in Laurel, MD. Greenbelt has a beautiful public library, community center and physical fitness facilities, gorgeous parks, restaurants with outdoor seating and places to walk. The public library at 11 Crescent Rd., Greenbelt, MD, also has story hour and activities for children. Greenbelt seems to have well organized and thoughtfully developed activities for children, teens, adults and seniors alike! Impressive!
Staying at your hotel was a great experience, the breakfast was exceptional, room was very clean with up to date furniture. the only negative thig I can say is the check in time is at 3pm but otherwise I am a raving fan.
Variety of restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, and shopping and highway access on the main street. The main street (can't remember the name) has a lot of bumps and potholes. Very rough riding,
Staff was not friendly. Toilet too low. Had to continue going down to front desk because of key issues. Changed room 3 times rm 936/909/401. Finally was able to settle down after driving 6hrs from the Nc.I was so disappointed with the sevice.
The air was not working for the first 24 hours. I was not offered another room when there were plenty. Instead of giving me half off the least expensive night, I should've received a full refund for the first 24 hours. With the exception of the maintenance staff, the entire staff was completely nonchalant and unbothered. On a 90 degree weekend, there should've been a level of urgency.
Appreciate the central location for this hotel: Close to Planet Fitness; close to the Greenbelt Metro Station; close to a variety of shopping and restaurants; close to Greenbelt Park and the Greenbelt Public Library and a variety of facilities in that area (physical fitness, restaurants with outdoor seating, playground equipment for kids, a community center and museum with a variety of classes and activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors.
