The kitchen is also wide and well-equipped. It is located within 15 minutes of the city center, close to supermarkets, pharmacies, the river park, the mall, night clubs, etc.

Very comfortable small home. Claudia was so accommodating. Lovely area with lots of outside spaces and walks. Stayed with our 1 year old who loved walking around the area.

Casa Da Quinta De S. Martinho is a typical, rustic house of the Trás os Montes countryside. It offers free Wi-fi, a garden pool, and is 200 metres from Mateus Palace. Ines and Paulo were the pefect hosts. Ines couldn't have been more helpful with answering my plentiful questions. Such a congenial couple in a scenic setting, walking distance to the Mateus Palace and major highways. This 17th century property retains all the rustic charm of that era while providing the modern amenities that make the stay comfortable! The other two guest houses on the property with 1-2 bedrooms and baths are simply charming and a good value for families traveling together. The pool looked clean and inviting although we did not take a dip. We loved sitting in the patio!

Miracorgo is situated in Vila Real’s historic centre and offers a panoramic restaurant with views of the Corgo River. Our Standard double room with small balcony & breakfast was great, we had a spectacular view of the Rio Corgo Gorge which was enhanced at night by floodlights. Our room came with breakfast, a comfortable bed, air conditioning, shower over the bath, TV, wardrobes and a small fridge. The balcony was large enough for us both to sit outside and enjoy an afternoon beverage. The hotel has 2 indoor pools the larger being 16 metres long, a very well equipped modern gym and outdoor sun leaners on the terrace and by the pool. The staff were great, very accommodating to our needs and friendly. We based ourselves here to visit the Douro Valley (no car) and being an easy 900 metre walk to the bus station to get to Regua, the valley and the MiraDouro Train made that easy. Great location.
