We were able to relax and make dinner. We had an early flight out from Alesund and it was perfect to stay only 6 minutes from the airport!

The place is quite rough and ready (and the host Terje is quite gruff too!). Our first impressions after our long journey were not great, too be honest. But as they say, you should never judge a book by it's cover... We were cajoled into an evening fishing/crabbing trip in Terje's small boat, taught how to haul in the nets, fillet cod and mackerel, crack open fresh crabs. Our catch was consumed with gusto in the communal dining room by guests from six different countries. Overall it was messy, slapdash, a bit crazy.. but also totally brilliant fun!! For the open-minded, adventure awaits!!!

Iris (the hostess) is a very nice and thoughtful lady and always made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable 😊. Also the area is really beautiful and peaceful, a bit isolated but there's a supermarket and a beautiful beach nearby and the airport is 6 min away by car. Just keep in mind that public transportation is not as frequent on weekends as on other days. I totally recommend this property for a long or short peaceful getaway 🦋

We had a lovely stay in this simple yet super cozy and peaceful caravan. It’s well equipped, clean, and perfectly suits the chill atmosphere of Vigra. It’s also great value for money. We loved the vintage vibe and waking up in bed to a beautiful view was wonderful. Svein was incredibly kind and nice, and so was his mother. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Situated by the sea on Valderøy Island, these apartments are 10 km from central Ålesund. All include free Wi-Fi access and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. It was fantastic, the host was great, very clean, well equipped

Aalesund Airport Hotel is situated on Valderøy Island, 7 km from Vigra Airport and 7 minutes’ drive from Aalesund city centre. Guests enjoy free WiFi internet in a picturesque coastal setting. The family room we were given was awesome and the host was superb. I strongly recommend this hotel close to the airport.
