A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Luang Prabang, NamKhan Horses Stables is a campground surrounded by views of the mountain. We rented a basic tent just for one night and didn't expect much, but the place is so nice and it has everything you need. I wouldn't mind staying there for longer.

It has kept its charm and is still worthy of the World Heritage status. we visited during the low season, but i guess it could be owercrowded during high season. The new railway makes it an easy target for mass tourism. Still a unique place in SouthEast Asia with so much history.
Just wandering & absorbing the sights & atmosphere of this unusual town was good. The cultural centre (TAEC) was informative but we didn't go into the palace because they wanted us to leave our bags behind. Too big a risk with passports, money etc in them. The night market was fun; the food there was varied & cheap.
Fantastic city warm and welcome everybody, many delicious street food and drinks. Reasonable price for product and service. Many souvenir. Handmade. Cotton product. A beautiful girl Sitthi in the north of Lao PRD.
Luang Prabang was such a pelasant surprise. I only had two-and-a-half days and knowing what I know now and experienced, I would have extended my stay for another two full days as there were more things to do. I loved the "laid back" vibe of this town (compared to Phnom Penh).
Love the weather and all the scenery places we visited. The amazing Kouang Si waterfall, elephant camp, we did the zipline at Green Jungle Park, Mekong river cruise, Royal palace & Wat Xieng Thong. So many places to visit and see.
Full of character and history. Recommend culture show 3 times weekly at the Royal Ballet Theatre. Mekong river cruise and Pak-ou caves a highlight - whiskey village a tourist trap and the nearby waterfalls over sold as an attraction
