The owner welcomed me friendly and introduced me good Gwangju food and restaurants (strongly recommend 떡갈비/Korean beef hamburg steak at 세송정/Saesongjeong, a local famous restaurant just 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse). The room is clean, tidy, and bright, with all basic facilities. Access to the guest house is very convenient about 15 minutes walk from the Songjeong KTX station and 10 minutes walk from the Subway Songjeong Park Station. Overlooking 5.18 Freedom Park, Holiday Inn Gwangju is conveniently located a 5-minute drive from Gwangju Airport. Close to the train station, it was a spacious, clean room and the staff were lovely. There was netflix on the TV which is great because so many hotels force you to watch their crappy paid channels. Big thanks to Mr Max Lee at the concierge. He was so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Bonus of having a convenience shop attached to the hotel too.
