Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!

Our host was amazingly kind and welcoming, and offered great advice about our stay in Kitsuki and our visits to surrounding areas. If I ever return to North-East Kyushu again I will stay here again.
