The coffee machine was much appreciated in the morning. There was no breakfast provided, but the facilities there allowed for clean filtered water and plenty of utensils to create our own breakfast. condiments, and certain flavourings were also included. The beds were ample, and clean, the ventilation good as well, many plug-in fans for the hot weather. The bathroom was spotless, and provided many towels. The living room had many plug sockets for devices to charge, and full cable network TV. There is also mood lighting around the entrance to the bedrooms, which is nice.

Bij langer verblijf met optie om Rome te bezoeken is Fiumicino een oplossing om toch regelmatig wat ontspanning en rust te vinden bij het water, op de terrasjes en in de uitstekende restaurants.
De eerste indruk is slordig en onverzorgd maar eenmaal dichter bij de zee beviel het ons wel. De dijk is lang maar er is weinig te beleven. Veel restaurants en enkele beachbars
Privacy. Na een drukke dag in een chaotische stad als Rome, waar het regelmatig 40 graden of warmer is, is het heerlijk uitrusten in Il Mundo, op het terras.
Fiumicino heeft een aardige haven met boulevard aan de noordkant. Daar zijn de betere restaurants. Het strand van Fiumicino is vreselijk: alleen maar bars met privéstranden, harde muziek, massatoerisme. Ons advies is: wegblijven daar. Fiumicino is alleen nuttig als dichtbij-plek voor het gelijknamige vliegveld bij Rome. Even verder, 20 autominuten, ligt Ladispoli, dat je ook als hub voor het vliegveld kunt gebruiken. Dat is een veel aardiger plek met veel beter, openbaar strand.
De haven met de bars en restaurants, de vissersboten, de wandelpromenade is gezellig. Het strand kan je beter vermijden, tenzij je 15 bent, van harde muziek, ongezond eten en lawaaierige drukte houdt.
