Boasting a patio with sea views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Villa Mantalena can be found in Skiros, close to Girismata Beach and 2.3 km from Molos Beach. It was a fantastic holiday in the middle of nowhere. Skyros itself is off the beaten track and Villa Mantalena is on the edge of the inhabited world. What remains beyond is the sea and the sky. It is cosy and peaceful. Some may view it as basic, but this is what makes it so good, this is the charm of the place. There is no food provided, but the Island is small and places to eat are within easy reach (by car - and rental is easy!). The accommodation allows you to prepare meals and we made pancakes every morning. Rooms are unique, traditional and special in their own way. Antonis, our host was amazing in looking after us, providing advice and trouble shooting. He helped to collect us from the ferry and helped with the car rental too. Magic place.
