He chose the hawk house and I have to say it really was lovely we will definitely be back the menu choices for meals was plenty .what we were served at both dinner and breakfast were both beautifully presented tasted great and were reasonably priced and good sized portions the room was well presented admittedly the bathroom was a little tired looking but how much time do you spend in there the bed was really comfy and all the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful.definitely looking forward to coming back

This 15th-century manor house in the quiet Somerset village of Ilchester looks across the River Yeo and farming countryside. Beautiful old building with lots of history .Lovely bedroom with unique style and lovely view to the garden. Staff very friendly and kind. Would love to stay again!

This Traditional, Family ran Hotel is set in the heart of Ilchester, Somerset, with 17 En-suite Bedrooms including Ground floor Disabled access, Family and our newest room 'The Cottage'. Marvellous meals, breakfast was superb and when coming down for lunch one day the food smelt so good I didn't bother with a menu I just pointed to a person and said I will have what they are having and it was first class. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and very professional so big thanks to them for making my stay that extra bit special.
