Friesenheim is a small vilage, not much too see in the village itself but the route there is very nice. Any traveler should go eat at Burkart's, they serve cheap but good authentic German food with generous beers and have a waitress who speaks very good english. The next restaurant I would recommend is Dino's, an Italian place. The staff could be a bit friendlier and quicker, but the food makes more than up for it.
The area is a hikers dream…. Castles, forest, paths for bikes and walks. Restaurants are Black Forest gems. The people are extremely friendly. You ( with a car) are near other beautiful villages… each offering different lovely reasons for going.
