Located directly on the banks of Tasmania’s Mersey River, Discovery Parks - Devonport features a children’s playground and a games room. Booked a 3-night stay in a Standard Cabin Bungalow. Our stay was enjoyable and exceptional as it totally exceeded our expectations. There is a free parking space right next to each bungalow, so it was very easy to get our stuff in and out of the car to and from the cabin. The cabin was clean and well-equipped with everything we need. Stepping into the cabin, first is the living/dining area cum kitchen. It was fitted with a stove and kitchenware (possible to cook if you want to), microwave oven (quick heating/cooking, which we used for our brekkie and dinner), large wash basin with cleaning equipment, pantry (with coffee/tea and water boiler) and freezer/refrigerator (Better than most hotels! We got to store our ice cream in it). The round dining table was large enough for 4-6 guests and there was a couch for lounging while watching the TV. There were two bedrooms - one on each side of the living/dining area. One was fitted with two bunk beds (sleeps 4 people). Bunk beds look rather small for larger-sized adults but was alright for us. The other bedroom had a king/queen sized bed with a huge wardrobe that spans the breadth of the room. The beds came with cleaned sheets and duvets/quilts which were perfect for the cold weather at night. I myself ended up sleeping on the couch after watching TV as it was comfy too. The air conditioning and heating was good and kept us warm throughout the night. The toilet was clean and fitted with day lighting, warm heated lighting and ventilation fan. It was very spacious in the toilet, making it super easy for changing up. Under the wash basin was a professional hair-dryer which we absolutely enjoyed using. The shower area was also clean and fitted with a hand-held shower head. Lastly, the price for this 3-night stay for our family is really unbeatable for the number of pax. We had a next-door neighbour who raved about it for two days too HAHA. I'm pretty sure they enjoyed their stay thoroughly...

Offering private bungalows with free Wi-Fi, Abel Tasman Cabins Devonport is located alongside East Devonport Beach and Saint Georges Park. Guests enjoy lovely gardens and a large BBQ area. This is a van park, I stayed in a wooden cabin which had a carport for my motorcycle. The cabin was spotless and charming. The Spirit of Tasmania loading dock was just 3 blocks away and handy for the morning sailing back to Melbourne. This was indeed an excellent place to stay as you have several choices of accommodation. Would certainly stay here again.

3ree- Spacious & Charming Apartment is located in Devonport, just 1.4 miles from Bluff Beach and 1.8 miles from Pardoe Beach. It is a clean and comfortable historic property closeby the Mersey River in Devonport. We stayed only one night but this property would make a comfortable stay for up to 6 people- 2 queen beds, one in each bedroom, and 2 bunk beds in one bedroom with a Q, for a longer stay. There's a square 8 seater dining table with good lighting. A well stocked kitchen (no dishwasher), a large fridge/freezer, a washing machine & a shower room that has the toilet also. Our vehicle could park safely off the street at the back. The comfortable living room area has an electric "log" fire in the fireplace. Communication was very good with the owner. We recommend Miss Jaquelines Cafe in a lovely old house nearby.

Just 4 minutes’ drive from Spirit of Tasmania Terminal, Argosy Motor Inn offers a restaurant, a bar and free on-site parking. It was super clean and the staff were so amazing and accommodating especially the lady at reception. Super kind!
We based ourselves in Devonport as we were visiting the coast area there We did travel south to do a bit of site seeing about Hobart etc. We travelled over and back on the Ferry which was a short 5 minute drive. You can see most of the coast attractions an easy 45 minute drive from Devonport. Tasmania has excellent playgrounds for kids
We love visiting Devonport. It is a clean, tidy town and has all the facilities we need. It is also a great point to go out to places from, for example Tasmazia, Chudleigh, towns and beaches along the northern coast of Tasmania just to name a few.
We liked everything about Devonport. We had an evening meal at the Argosy and lunch at Banjos in the mall. Finding places around Devonport was easy and parking was very good. Lovely views of the Mersey River and beaches from lots of areas. The Antique Emporium and garden centres were excellent.
Davenport is a diverse town with so many options from kicking back at the beach and unwinding to meeting wildlife up close and exploring numerous different places within an hour of town so much do or do nothing absolutely beautiful
Just an overnight stay but managed a walk beside the river near our accomodation. Well maintained walking track. Viewing platform brilliant to watch the Spirit of Tasmania. Lovely cafe just near the platform for breakfast.
The nicest part of Devonport was along the river and to the beach. The headland walk from the Surf Club and to the lighthouse was beautiful. The cafe at the Devonport Surf Club was really nice, the staff were very friendly and the coffee was excellent - 10/10.
